She was turning nine and loves bacon, so naturally a bacon party is called for! Not the most used party theme, some creativity was needed! I used the pink of the pig as the base colour and created a full bacon menu. Your local cheap shop is your best friend at the moment if you after plain coloured party needs. Espresso cups are used above as jelly cups. The decorative paper balls are scattered over the tables for colour. The popcorn cups are not only pretty but allow for a moveable feast for all the little piggies. Most cheap stores have a range of serving containers that you can base your menu around. Sometimes I find it easier to start shopping for the party supplies before I finish planning the menu. I also printed a bacon party menu and put them in cheap photo frames as a decoration and also helps the kiddies work out what they would like to eat. The piggy ears were ordered in bulk weeks before...... ebay is a great resource for products like these. The Pig balloons were bought from Big W , which now have a full party supply area in most stores. If you too are planning a bacon party, be sure to provide lots of water for the piggies ....bacon is very salty!
